I have been a huge fan of Danny Gregory for a long time and I found this in my Google Reader this morning and I wanted to share the video with you. Some of us are so very visual and watching him work gets the creative juices flowing. I am making time this morning to pull out my pens and watercolors and getting some color down on paper.
The Art of Breakfast
This video is worth the four and a half minutes.....be inspired!

Two things about this wonderful artist: He has on the shirt exactly like I am wearing today at work. Two: I wish, wish, wish that I had time to spontaneously paint as he does!
By the way, this is from "Nana" at HodgePodge!!
Hi Nana!
I feel the exact same way about his spontaneity....he didn't even finish eating before he pulled out the pen! Love it!
Glad you enjoyed the video.
Very fun! Thanks for sharing this!
Indeed, that is what spontaneity requires, uh? Having the pencils or brushes close at hand. Saving time on setting up a studio. After a while there are pencils and paint boxes all over the place, like every home school house is filled with books. :-)
Nice video.

Wow! My boys and I really loved the video. I like how he seems to start his day... slowly; no hurry... God and I have been talking about this today :) cause I am not so good at that. And, one of my boys immediately asked me about getting out his watercolors. I liked mindful drawings comment about having it on hand... trying to figure out that easy access for my very artistic kids.
So Trish had me jonesing for some warm rice & milk this morning - now I have a desire to draw it. . . . I'd love to spend each morning this way! Oh to have the skill of drawing like that!
