At long last, after much work and diligence, I have completely rewritten the Harmony Fine Arts Grade 2 plans. The new Grade 2 - Medieval and Renaissance plans are available in both ebook and print editions. This was something that I have been trying to accomplish and after much thought and planning I am proud to have these completely revamped plans available for you.
*36 Weeks of Plans - 6 artists and 6 composers. (See sample for a complete list.)
*Three Options for art and improved plans for composer study. (See sample for Weeks 1-4.)
*Ebook format includes links to internet sources for viewing artwork, additional activities, and YouTube listening and viewing. (See sample for how much depth this gives your study if you wish it for your family.)
*Please note the list of composers included with these plans. They do not all fit within the overall time period of the Year 2 cycle of history. This was due to finding a superior resource that although not being a complete fit as far as time period, includes wonderful selections for your year of study. If you need more information about this, please email me anytime. If you already purchased the plans and are unhappy with the composer choices, email me for alternatives.
*Ebook and Print editions include notebook pages and coloring pages to use as a follow-up to your study.
*Ebook format includes art prints to view and/or print out for your personal use.
*Resources can be seen on my Amazon.com store.
*Please Note: Option 3 - Artistic Pursuits K-3 Book 2 is used over a two year period for money savings and a more thorough coverage of the material. I supplement the AP lessons with picture study and additional activities to give you a connection between the AP topics and the time period.
*See a sample week in action: Harmony Fine Arts Grade 2 Sample Week.

Ebook Version $17.44
I have revamped the Grade 2 plans to reflect updated materials available on the internet and on my blog. I also include more thorough instructions for picture study. Families will be required to purchase far fewer resources and the resources used are readily available. You can view the required materials at my Amazon.com store (click the different options and categories on the left side to view all materials needed).
The print version has the same content as the ebook version but the internet links will need to be typed in by the user. The print version also includes all the same notebook pages and coloring pages but because of cost the art prints are not provided. All artwork referenced in the plans is available for viewing on the internet with links provided.
I have endeavored to keep the plans on a grammar stage level and have left many activities and artists for the logic stage (My Medieval and Renaissance - Middle School plans). Families with children in both age groups may want to purchase both plans but they will not directly correspond week by week. You may wish to print out the samples for both plans to compare artist and composer lists.

I am going to be making a more formal announcement soon about this but I wanted to add to this entry that Harmony Fine Arts has been awarded Practical Homeschool Magazine's Reader's Award - Honorable Mention for both Art and Music Appreciation plans
If you have any questions, please email me anytime.

What can I say? You have WOWED me again. I wish I had had this in September, but I think I may go back and do some now anyway, it looks SO good.
I have had a blast building this plan and I too wish I had little ones to go back and use it with.
I will have to live vicariously by way of hearing how other families enjoy their study.
Thanks for the compliment.
Wow! This is awesome! I intended to purchase your plans last week through Rainbow Resources, but somehow overlooked it not being on my order cart. I am glad now as this is the plan I hope to use next year! Yeah! Hope it is a great success!
Megan,
Great! I just want to make sure that you check with RR before you order. These plans are so new that they do not have them in stock yet so if you order from them soon, you may get the old plans.
If that happens, just email me and we will do a switch.
This looks wonderful and just what I'm looking for! I'll be ordering in the near future for next year. One question: You stated that the Artistic Pursuits Book 2 will be used for 2 years. When I looked at the Grade 3, I couldn't find it listed in the resources. Are you in the process of revamping more of your plans? Thanks for all you do to simplify our homeschooling lives - especially in areas not in our expertise. We have enjoyed your nature study. I never link because I don't have a blog (or the time to do one). ;-) My oldest in 6 and my youngest in 10 months. My middle is 2 1/2. I stay plenty busy, but I love it! Thanks again.
Lisa,
That is a really good question.
I am planning on having Grade 3 revamped and available by June 1, 2011 (hopefully sooner).
I will make a note in the post letting other people know too.
Barb, This looks wonderful! Thank you!
I have purchaced the plans and I cannot say enough good things about it. It is absolutely fabulous. We are going back and picking up what we have missed by not having them this past year. Thank you for making them.
Thanks Phyllis,
I haven't heard much feedback on Grade 2 yet so it is nice to have some encouragement. I put a lot of work into making these plans ultra special. :)
Now I am on to Grade 3.....more good stuff to come!
This looks so great! I wish I had known about this at the beginning of the school year. I will definitely be using this next year!
