Savoring The Moments #1 Back to School

I decided that as part of my trying to be grateful and happy about my Mr. A's last year of high school, I would start a series of "Savoring the Moments" entries. I will try to keep them sort of like the Wordless Wednesday entries that so many other bloggers do.

Here is the first of the entries:

Savoring the Moments #1 Back to School

Back to School 2010
This is the first day of school during lunch break. I love the haircut...the first time he has tried this cut and I think it suits him. Look at the bare feet and the dog bringing her favorite throw toy. What is it with boys and their dogs?

Back to School 2010 (with the dog)
After some outside time, Mr. A brings the dog inside to help with homeschooling as they finish their lunchtime break. Really, they are honestly working....he is listening to some classical music as he spends some time with his favorite animal in the universe. (I think they are listening to Prokofiev.)

I hope this project is going to help me focus on the small little moments that add up to the big picture.

I am so glad you are doing this! Can't wait to read/see these this coming year!

PS...the haircut does look nice! :o)

Oh, I love this! What a wonderful idea to inspire gratitude! I am looking forward to seeing more of these. And, yes, I like the haircut, too.

Barb (I say crossly) are you a hired lobbyist for my 10 year old who desperately wants a dog. Hard to deny a boy the kind of pleasure you captured in that photo. Drat!

Theresa,

This is our very first family dog and she is two years old. We waited until the boys were old enough to care for all her needs. I did NOT want to take on the responsibility that a Labrador entails by myself. She is a lot of work but they love her.

I say wait until they are ready to handle the feeding, cleaning up after, the playtime, and the walking before you embark on dog ownership.

As you can tell, I am not a dog person. :)

Most precious!
My younger 2 daughters and I write to each other and put the notebook under the pillow. We have also share our favourite moments each day. I think those little notebooks with all the cute spellos will be a treasure for me when they have all flown the nest!

I had a miserable day with my car getting t-boned by someone cutting across the parking lot, I am sore and miserable, and plain angry and my dh is on another continent... say enough...? but the picture of Mr.A and his dog brought a wonderful sense of peace to my evening. Thank you

Dang, that post from Annaxandria was me actually, Marlis. I didn't see my dd had logged into our Google account. But she was there in the wreck along with her 5 year old brother. Anywhooo, that Annaxandria post was really Marlis
