I have practically worn out my first David Fray CD with his uplifting Bach music. You may remember I shared his YouTube video with you previously. If you haven't watched it yet, you are missing a treat.
I think he has done it again with his new Schubert CD.
Here is the latest YouTube video.
Pop over to Amazon.com and check out some more samples.
So many of you have asked me to share my music list and I have sat down to write it out quite a few times, but I end up getting so sidetracked listening to my favorite stuff that I never finish. One of these days I will get the list published on Amazon.com and share it with you all.
You can take a look at Harmony Fine Arts materials pages in each grade and find a lot of my favorite music. In the meantime, make sure to check out the David Fray CD....it has blown me away with its beauty.

I loved the Bach one. Maybe he will do a Beethoven one. Only my favorite composer.
Very beautiful....I am partial to Vivaldi myself, but Bach is nice.
:grins: My daughter and I watched this just last week and wondered if you had seen the latest "Schubert" installment. Thank you so much for the first you tube link....it was a marvelous discovery for both of us.
Have you watched Martha Argerich play Prokofiev? Awe-inspiring!
~Heather (an uncloaked lurker...because David Fray is just. that. good.)
A quick addendum...I would suggest the Prokofiev Piano Concerto No.3...the 2008 performance. Can you imagine playing like that at 68? :swoons:
~Heather
Thanks Heather for the suggestion. I popped over to watch Martha Argerich and she is pretty good. I don't think I could listen too much to Prokofiev like I do to Bach or Schubert. I love Prokofiev but his piano concertos are a little "energetic". :)
Thanks again for the heads-up.
Barb
LOVE this album! Thanks for posting; I had not discovered this artist until now! Shelly
